Caucasus University traces its origins to 1998 with the establishment of the Caucasus School of Business. The university's guiding principle, "Studium Pretium Libertatis," translates to "Knowledge is the Foundation of Freedom."

CU prides itself on offering a high standard of education, international programs, and practice-oriented teaching. The institution's highly qualified specialists are trained by internationally accredited lecturers.

Caucasus University is composed of various schools, including Business, Law, Media, Technology, Architecture and Design, Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences, Tourism, Medicine and Healthcare Management, Economics, and Education. The university has the authority to confer academic degrees such as Bachelor, Master, Doctor, and Medical Doctor in accordance with Georgian legislation. Additionally, CU boasts a training center offering various certification programs.

MD Program at Caucasus University

Program Aim: The program aims to prepare medical doctors who are competitive on both local and international markets, highly qualified, morally grounded, and equipped with the necessary competencies to meet the educational requirements of an open society. This aligns with CU's mission to graduate competitive, highly qualified, and ethically sound individuals who uphold democratic values and principles.

Educational Standards: The program adheres to the standards of Medical Education set by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME)

Research

Caucasus University’s Research Facilitation Department is dedicated to coordinating the university's research activities. The Academic Writing Center operates as a key unit within this department.

Main Objectives:

Academic Writing Course Coordination: Overseeing the instruction of the Academic Writing Course across the university.

Skill Development & Integrity: Supporting the enhancement of academic writing skills and the implementation of academic integrity software.

To achieve these goals, the department aids in research within various units and schools and backs individual research initiatives of academic and scientific staff.

International Relations

Caucasus University places a strong emphasis on the internationalization of education, understanding the needs of the global education market. The University actively supports the incorporation of international experiences into its academic programs. This effort includes promoting mobility for both students and faculty, offering joint educational programs, and encouraging international collaboration in research projects.

Since its inception, Caucasus University has built partnerships with 289 universities in 70 countries. Through agreements with these partner institutions, the International Relations Department provides exchange and dual degree programs, short-term training courses, summer programs, and scholarship opportunities.
